Brian Black
Brian is the president and chief executive officer of the Urban League of Kansas, Inc. The Urban League is a non-profit economic development engine committed to empowering those who are striving toward the mainstream to secure economic self-reliance. The Urban League utilizes partnerships to create economic opportunities for all Kansans. A product of the Urban League movement, Black holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of South Carolina. He is the first in his family to attend college. Mr. Black is the son of the Late Josephine Black. Mr. Black has received numerous awards and recognitions, including a Community Service Award from President William Jefferson Clinton, Outstanding Young Men in America, and the most prestigious Kansas Health Foundation Fellowship.
